Hello and welcome to Gravity Strike!

If you've seen my game Gravity Force before, you might wonder why there's also a "Strike" now. The answer is quite short: There's no real multiplayer feature in GF, so I decided to create something new, still based on the old code, but more structured and in C++.

Gravity Strike, a multiplayer-only-game, was born.

If you don't know Gravity Force: In this game you fly a little ship and you have to deal with gravity, while different enemies are trying to shoot you. My Gravity Force ist based on the original GF for the Amiga 500. This game had a splitscreen multiplayer mode integrated. Gravity Strike incorporates this feature (and networking mode) in a completely new and unique multiplayer game. Version 0.8 also brings a single player mode into Gravity Strike, so that it can be a true successor to Gravity Force.

Features

In short now the features which are already included into Gravity Strike or will be integrated in the future:
  • Splitscreen mode for up to 2 players (implemented)
  • Networking mode for up to 6 players (implemented, but very buggy at the moment)
  • Single player mode
  • Build your own ships and import them into Gravity Strike. You can change ten parameters ranging from acceleration to fuel consumption. And you can even paint your own ship with your favourite program and import it into GS to create your very own very personal ship!
  • Create or modify the included levels with the integrated editor (not included yet) or directly in scripting code.
  • Create your own scripts: E.g. you can wrtite code that says: "If switch is pressed, then destroy all players and activate teleport.". You can access all players and objects through the scripting function, giving you the possibilities for many new game modes.
  • better code, better feeling, more fun :-)

System Requirements

Gravity Strike runs on all "modern" systems and with all "modern" operating systems:
  • Minimum hardware: Pentium 200, 8 MB RAM (recommended: Pentium II)
  • Operating system: all Windows versions (95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP) and Linux
  • A mouse is required (for the menu)
  • A sound card is recommended.

Legal stuff

Gravity Strike is Freeware without any restrictions. You may distribute it freely as long as you don't take any money for it. .
